LOST Reference Node
The LOST Reference Node performs the ranging, the communication of data and network management. When connected to the LOST Tracker Server, it also acts as gateway. The LOST Reference Node has an identified fixed position and is normally powered from the mains. Optionally it can also be operated from internal batteries.
Features of the LOST Reference Node
Radio Interfaces
- The LOST engine is used to transmit and receive the LOST ranging pulse
- The 802.15.4 radio performs the communication of ranging data, configuration and management, including over the air firmware updates
Micro Controller Unit
- Processing of the communication signals and timing of the ranging events
Ethernet Controller
- Connects the LOST Reference Node to the LOST Tracker Server
- Fast alternative to the 802.15.4 communication link
Power Supply unit
- Converts the mains to the appropriate voltages
