Management Team
The Essensium team is committed to deliver state-of-the art and innovative solutions and to use its depth of experience to the benefit of its customers.
Essensium's management team has over 100 years of experience in telecommunications systems and chip design. This team has been instrumental in the design of many telecommunications ASICs and ASSPs and in the delivery of CMOS radio modems, especially Bluetooth and 802.11a/b/g radios.

Johan Danneels (Founder and CEO)
Johan accumulated 30 years professional experience as Corporate Vice President of Alcatel, Groups Vice President of STMicroelectronics, CEO of Alcatel Microelectronics and STM-Belgium and as chairman of IMEC from 2000 to 2005.Johan obtained his Master of Science and PhD in Electrical Engineering from the KULeuven and an MBA degree from the Boston University.

Edmond Janssens (Co-founder, Director Operations)
Edmond has about 30 years of experience in the management of large advanced design projects and the management of collaboration with research institutes and universities. Edmond has held these development positions at Alcatel and STMicroelectronics. Edmond was co-founder of design house InCir that was later acquired by Alcatel Microelectronics.Edmond received his MscEE and PhD degrees from the KULeuven. His background is in the design of mixed signal circuits.

Frederic Stubbe (Co-founder, Director Wireless Products)
Frederic worked 8 years for Conexant where he got the opportunity to build up an extensive experience in analog and RF design as well as engineering management. Frederic then joined STMicroelectronics Belgium, where he was in charge of the RF team. Frederic broadened the scope of his responsibilities by heading the RF Center of Competence across the telecom group in STMicroelectronics.Frederic received his MScEE degree from the KULeuven.

Jan De Moor (Finance Director)
Essensium has appointed Jan De Moor as Director Finance.
Prior to joining Essensium, Jan was country controller for Belgium and Luxembourg at Dell, and assisted in the roll out of services in emerging
regions including Russia, Africa and the Middle East.
Jan brings finance knowledge from banking, IT services and IT hardware. Jan obtained his MBA from Insead.

Raoul Daniëls (Director of Sales and Marketing)
Raoul Daniëls has joined Essensium as Director of Sales and Marketing. Raoul has a wealth of knowledge,
accumulated over 25 years, on Semiconductor Marketing and Industry. Previously working for MIPS|ChipIdea where
his last position was to be the site manager and the Marketing Director for the Analog Asic product line, he
also held Strategic Marketing responsibility for the Low-Power and Wireless Semiconductor Products at AMIS, On
Semi and Texas Instruments. Raoul received his MSc in Nuclear Physics and Electronics from the State Institute of Nuclear Physics (Brussels).

Christian Fabre (Director Sourcing and Procurement)
Christian Fabre accumulated over 30 years of professional experience in the telecom industry. He worked 25 years for Alcatel where he has held different positions: semiconductor test engineer, technologist expert and purchasing manager for worldwide subsidiaries, mainly India and Asia. In 2002 he joined Wavecom and prior to joining Essensium, Christian was Purchasing manager at Parrot where he introduced notably the COT business model for ASICs development. Christian obtained his electronics engineer degree from the Conservatoire National Arts et Métiers - Paris.
